Hi all I'm new to the forum . I'm currently playing with a callaway diablo octane driver with 60gram R flex shaft . I have no problem getting the ball out there only thing is that it's only going 180 - 200 yards .

I have a callaway razr x hybrid 24 degrees with a stiff shaft and it goes more or less the same as the driver.

Would I benefit from getting fitted for a new driver ? Maybe something with a stiffer shaft ?

I'm only playing golf about 10 months now so the clubs I bought were just off the shelf .

or go into a golf shop and ask can you try out some of the Drivers, you can also bring your own driver and compare on their launch monitors they will tell you., but I wouldn't go buying the latest one out for €400+ usually they have a couple of old models that they're selling cheap..

What's the shot shape,? If your hitting a big left to right slice that could be your distance loss right there, and if your hitting it straight or right to left and still no distance it definitely is a fitting issue.
If it's a slice problem loft up try 10.5deg or higher if it's adjustable or get a more flexible shafts.
If it's the other shape right to left try a stiffer shaft that's just general info available on the interweb. Go see a fItter if you want to get serious.

Cheers for the reply lads , I've done lessons for months my drives are more or less straight no problem with slicing . I'm going to try a few different drivers when I get a chance next week.

I was just surprised that the small stiff shaft hybrid goes the same distance as the driver. Hopefully I can get something to suit, would you recommend any drivers even a few years old that I might get on sale?

Taylormade R15. I'm relatively new to golf and bought this last year for about €170 and love it. It has an adjustable loft and draw/fade. Any professional will be able to set it up for you if needed.
