I just got an email about a new heating product EcoVolt have released.

It appears to be a special paint that can be heated with electricity and used as a radiator to heat a property, replacing other forms of heating.

    It looks very interesting.

The website has a case study where they installed the product in Marco Pierre White's restaurant in D.4.

Has anybody any knowledge of this product? Or visited the restaurant to experience the heating?

I have an old apartment with old storage heaters that could benefit from such a product, if it's as good as they claim.

It is just another form of electric heating. It suits the particular situation because there is no impact on the decor. There wouldn't be any saving from using this. You could use any other kind of electric heaters to achieve the same effect.

Storage heaters obviously benefit from cheap night time electricity. This system does not.

one line in that pdf explains some of it
Capital cost savings against repair to existing heating system €28,000
That example is just over €5,000 over the last month.

Unless you have serious insulation at the back of the panel you'd be wasting a lot of heat warming up the wall too
