Re-seeding field

    Have a field that has not been reseeded in years. I recently drained it. There was some rushes and pounding in it. Was wondering what is best way to reseed. Do I need to burn off existing grass?. Do I need to plough or will power harrowing do. Or do I need to Harrow if I do direct seeding. Also when is best time to spray and seed. Thanks

    burn it off especially if theres rushes in it. Ploughing would give it a good freshen up and help the drainage as well as level it all up.
    What p/k/lime like?
    Spray it off around the start of April and get her sowed in mid April. You should have grass to graze come June 1st
