Ok I thought I was imagining things a few days ago, I had a cold so I let it slide.
I had a glass out of a carton that was well in date and I thought it had a thicker consistency than usual as I had a cold I let it slide.

Now another new carton with a use by of the 23rd and my 7 year old daughter has said this milk tastes weird, so I take a drink and the same thing I experienced a few days ago, thicker than usual but doesn't taste gone off, Just thicker and smoother.
We go through a shed load of milk a week so know what milk should be like.

Has Anybody else had the same?

Thinking I could send it back to avonmore and get a few boxes for free :-)

Pour into a hot cup of water if it turned into balls it's off.

Tell them that if they don't send you a few boxes then you will go on the internet and describe their product as weird.

    Done,
    No balls
    Just hot watered down milk.

Now take the glass and cool it in the fridge. If it turns to cold watered down milk then it's fine.

Is the 1litre carton the same?

Buy all sizes and compare. But they will all have to be the same use by date.

    Me bollix.

It's fookin cack and I wouldn't give it to rats. Curdles when you boil it to make hot chocolate or milky coffee.

Also why are you eating breakfast at night?

Stop storing it in your shed, a fridge would keep it fresher

It's called Supper. I'm having a couple of bowls of Cornflakes right now.

You need to live a little.

How did you heat the hot cup of water? Ideally you should allow the burning of your house down to heat it. Science etc.

I've made plenty of hot chocolate with it and it's never curdled.

Cos I felt like having breakfast for dinner. Seeing I'm a grown up lady person I can eat whatever it is I want for the dinner!

I'm not that put out by it.

    I'm watching Narcos now.

I have another unopened carton in the fridge for tommorrow , if it's the same as the last one, I'm going to town on the fuc*ers :-(.

    Narcos would sour any milk.

Yes, you lay into them. How dare they give you thick smooth fresh milk!

It's full fat or low fat milk. They sell both.

I had pig and eggs (and mushrooms and spinach) for brekkie and chicken and veg curry for lunch.

Cereal for dinner (with a slice of batch toast and kerrygold) was a lovely treat :)

    Aaaaanway. Milk.

Probably the shop's fault for storing it somewhere not cold enough

    You must burn water too.

We've been getting it exclusively for years and use it to make hot milk daily without issue.

Fault for what? There's nothing wrong with it. It hasn't gone off. OP probably picked up full fat instead of low fat?

I believe it's not compulsory to use it and that consumers can freely purchase whatever milk they personally prefer.

You don't like it. Fine. Others obviously do, judging by the sales figures.

Me? I prefer Avonmore Heart Active but many people don't like it.

Oh there's definatley something something wrong with it.
It's the same consistency as a yop.
The new shi*ty yops that is , not the older proper ones.

I had a 1.75l that was full of gloop at the end, not gone off, just seemed very gloopy. Changed to the 1l supermilk after that as we wouldnt go through a lot of milk. Thought I read somewhere that they add thickeners to supermilk so reckoned it might have been a mess up at the milk factory.

1.75 litres is an unusual quantity of liquid in my opinion.

Bring it back and get another one for free then you can come back, create another thread and complain about that too.

No thickeners, but the vitamins come in powder form and are added to either low fat or full fat. May have poured too much but highly unlikely, it's continually lab tested throughout the run. Any anomolies are red flagged quickly and product removed.

Why anyone drinks it I don't know.
