Just wondering has anyone done this, and how successful has it performed? Any cracks, does it reduce sound transmission and finally how was it done?

    Thanks

    Timber frame structure/house...or...timber floor structure?

Either way, you need a/your structural engineer to look at/advise.

    Timber floor structure.

I appreciate that the structural engineer would have to design but just wondering how it has performed after installation. Regarding sound transmission, movement/cracks etc...

I can be done...as you are probably aware...but I have no experience of doing it. Sorry! :)

    Yes, in upstairs bathroom
    Worked well, floor was tiled
No cracks of note, does reduce sound transmission
Ask your arch/Eng they will design
