So yesterday I decided to buy some sliding wardrobe doors in b&q.
    2 normal and 1 mirror.
Was super careful getting them all home on the roof of the car.
Got the tracks etc sorted then unpacked all 3 doors ready to fit only to notice the wheel set missing off the mirror one.
B&q tell me they will have to replace the full door as they have the wheels.
Now what are the chances ill get the mirror back down the stairs onto the roof over to b&q and into the returns counter without breaking it given the packaging is mostly missing ?
And who's fault will it be when I dont make it ?

You need the consumer forum but I can tell you now that you are responsible for getting it back to them in one piece

Bitter personal experience has taught me to take out inventory sheet first and count that all the bits are there before unpacking the rest.
Not much help to you now though, sorry.

The only thing I can say is that glass hates a 'pressure point'. Whatever you do, spread the load with a same sheet of timber on the rack first.

I'd not be risking it on a roof rack. Glass & 60kmph or anything near it is a recipe for disaster.

Go on, ask me how I know.........

If you can pack it well by using cardboard sheeting or even ply ether side and perhaps bubble wrap included then take it in a van ensuring that it is firmly restrained inside the van. But do not put it on the roof rack of a car. If you dont have a van then borrow one or ask a friend or family member to drive it to the store in a van they would have.

You could always chance your arm and ask B & Q if they would consider transporting it back. Highly unlikely but worth a shot.
