So, I've been asked to be the best man at my friends wedding this year.
I had a chat with the groom and it seems Berlin is the chosen location for a bit for a stag weekend...

Has anyone on here been to Berlin and can offer advice and things to do for a group of about 6 lads in their early thirties.
Is there good options for say go-karting, paint-balling and good activities for a bit of fun.

Good places to eat and drink beer would be nice if you have any recommendations.

    Thanks!

Organised pub crawl could be an option for you.

We did a free walking tour with Sandemans (IIRC) at the end of which we were told about the pub crawl.

Basically you meet at one of the metro station exits, pay a set amount, get directed to the pub & the fun begins. Beer is free up until departure time so the earlier you get there the better. After that you buy your beers on the cheap and get a free shot with each one. Pubs/clubs range from small and quiet to large and loud. Well worth it IMHO.

EDIT: Seems it may have changed slightly since I was there but details are in the link.....

We did something called the "trabi rally" when we were there and it was the best thing I've ever done on a stag.

Break into teams of 2/3, get a map with 6/7 attractions, and then they give you one of the cars and off you go. First person to get to all the attractions win. Bit of a treasure hunt. You're driving real cars, on real road. Can't find the company we went with now. Something like this....

Anyone use the Generator Hostel before?

Not personally but I have heard good reports about them. If you're around Smithfield Square in Dublin pop in and see the Generator Hostel there

We are planning to head over there for a stag also. We plan to stay in a hostel close to checkpoint charlie. Would this be a good location. I have heard from someone who was on a stag there before that most of the night life and good bars are in the West of Berlin and they had to rely on Taxis to get home.
