    Hi folks,

Ok so we have a shed built in the ~50 used as a workshop also. It has a concrete floor single block on edge with 4 coats of external plaster 2 recently and a re roofed (it's a flat roof with non drip cladding on box irons)

Any ideas/products to stop reduce the amount of condensation on the roof it's damaging or tools?

I have put in 4 100mm vents and panted the floor with industrial floor paint to reduce rising damp, to no real effect.

Is taking up the floor installing polythene the only go?

When warm air meets a cold surface it condenses. Your vents should help. Your non-drip is technically only designed to work with a high ish pitch roof so I wouldn't rely on that.

You need something like Alububble on the underside of your roof. Leave an air gap between it and roof. The cold side stays cold, warm side meets a warm surface therefore nothing condenses. Its about 70 quid a roll, attach to rafters and tape joints. Its just bubble wrap with tinfoil either side but it creates a barrier. I've had it for a few years in a shed that gets hot and cold and not one drop or rusting.

Is tanking another system to prevent it?
