Help to solve an argument

Having an argument with the other half - starting a new build and arguing over whether or not the front door should match the garage door? seen lots of black front doors, black garage doors that look fab, but I want a red door ! Both will be visible from the road. And sure while were at it, surely the back door doesn't need to match anything ?

Any other ocd people out there ??

Its personal preference, but in my opinion no, everything does not need to be matching. The approach to your property is the first impression of your build, some of the most interesting exteriors/ interiors are ones that have been well planned to compliment each other but not necessarily be the match.

Of course, it's better to see the exact house to be sure, because, agree to some point with sonder, some not matching things look good together, but generally, I think front and garage doors should match.

They shouldn't match. Front doors come in numerous different colours but few colours for garage doors such as black brown greys etc.

Even if you could get two of similar colours I don't think it would look any better by matching the two.

No point arguing with a woman you will never win and they always get what they want. Lol

Your other half is of course correct.

You should know this by now. :-)

My garage doors and front doors are different but my front door doesn't face in the same direction as the garage doors. Garage door facing front matches windows and front door on side of porch is black, I think they look grand.
