Hi folks. Looking at buying a new Tucson, however I'm torn between colours grey and white. Any ideas which colour is nicer?

If the white is cheaper I'd just get that! No matter what colour you get there'll be loads of others around.

Dont think there's a grey, isn't it brown there's 2 shades of brown. I quite like the darker one.

Why not go for a nice blue or red. I seen a brand new one during the week in navy blue it looked nice.

There's a grey alright. The electric blue is nice and I don't see too many of them. White ones are everywhere.

Appreciate the comments ... Will have to go to a dealer with a blue/red one in stock for a look.

The bright blue is slightly tacky on them imo and they have too much plastic cladding too carry off the white.

The black looks smart but as per, it'd be high maintenance. They grey will hide the dirt well if you plan on never washing it.

One thing to note is that I think some of the darker exterior coloured ones come with the partial beige interiors. It's not too bad if your getting a model with leather seats but beige cloth seats and young kids don't go well together.

    They do offer a grey:

    Also a nice light navy:

And a sort of sand silver:

The red looks a bit flat imo but it could be just the photo:

Isn't there a dark brown one. I think that looks money.

GREY...definitely. Otherwise the plastic trim stands out and looks terrible.

What about the green metallic colour they had in The Walking Dead? Was gorgeous. Might not be available in Ireland thougg.

That was the old ix35 not the new Tucson and that colour was very 2010. :P

Have you tried the Kia Sportage?
It's a Tucson under neath but comes with better specs and will be less common.

Thanks for the pics. Definitely grey now

Of those pictured, the Navy looks far and away the best in my opinion.

White will always look like a work van colour to me. Even on cars I just think it looks cheap. There are a handful of cars that can pull it off but they're few and far between.

The red above is a nice colour but really highlights the plastic trim (I really dont get why they never paint those!? They look terrible on a coloured car).

One of the reasons I like black on a car is because the trim and plastics are all usually well hidden and matched up. Don't stand out like a sore thumb.

The black plastic trim is intended to give it a more butch off road look which is what makes these cars that bit more appealing.

WHat do ye think of the moonrock with Black leather interior?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,076 ✭✭✭GustavoFring

That's looks like the kind of colour you need to see in the flesh before you buy I think. The neighbour has a santa fe in a very similar colour and it looks a lot different in sunlight than shade.

Yea that's the problem. Want black leather interior so it's one of the only option for us, there are a few others, silver and blue colour, no grey available with bkack. Next choice is black outside with beige interior.... Just worried about staining from jeans etc and kids spilling stuff with the beige... I've seen one of the moonrock recently. I though nice that's grey, then I saw it was brown... It's kinda two tone. Was thinking at that stage we could order whatever but options are limited with the black leather interior....

Its leather so it should not be to hard to clean even if it is beige. You would just notice it quicker on beige.
If it was me I think blue is a lovely colour for a car. If you like the moonrock then go for it.
