Wooden countertops?

Doing up the sitting room at the moment and I want a wooden countertop to finish the top of 2 sideboard units and extend into a desk.

I'd also like to use the same wood for a few shelves on the wall.

I have it drawn up with dimensions.

Any recommendations for suppliers around Dublin?

Have you thought of Ikea? Their wooden counters are lovely.

I have. Everything else is coming from ikea though so I want this to be from somewhere else. I also want solid wood rather then laminate/engineered this time which isn't ikeas speciality.

Dimensions don't really suit either.

I need one strip that's 42.5cm x 260 and then an L shaped piece is about 390 on the long part, 125 on the short, curved at the join, 42.5cm wide and with a cut out of 30cm square in the elbow. Then I need two long matching shelves which will be mounted with brackets so visible on 4 out of 6 sides.

I'm kinda hoping that I can find somewhere that'll cut them out of a larger sheet for cost saving.
