Getting PPS number and how to fill in REG1 and FORM12A

    Hello, 
    I know my question might sound naive to some, so please bear with me. I've born and lived in outside Ireland and Dublin, and I will be moving to Dublin in the next week. I will start my work there Feb 1st so I need to register myself and get a PPS number for the taxes.
    The problem is I am married, but my wife will not join my until 3 months later. My question now is, would I fill-in my status in the REG1 as "Single" or "Married"?
    I also need to know, what if I have a temporary address which is a hotel. Can I use the hotel reservation as a proof of address when I visit the local DSP office?
    Moving on, after getting my PPS number, I have been told that I need to fill in FORM12A which has the same status, would I fill it in with "Single" or "Married"?
