    I tried without success.

I think I hear these phrases in the lyrics if anyone wants to give it a go:
"never turn back" "never look back" "attack"

also repeated use of "never never never" and so on

No luck with google for those

It's very difficult to make out the music with the talking and the sound quality but it does sound like a remix of Born Slippy. And "lager, lager, lager" would make sense for that ad.

I can barely make out the music but from what I can decipher it sounds a bit like this.

That dialogue he's thinking is copying the beginning of Trainspotting by the way.

Come to think of it, is that humming noise meant to be in the video? Is it bad sound quality or is it an Aphex Twin remix of Born Slippy?

Beginning to think of asking Guinness themselves..

It's an advertising agency's own commissioned recording. Close enough to born slippy that people recognise it, not close enough that they have to pay too much (if any) in royalties.

I hope your right. Since the OP created this thread it's driving me nuts.

I'd say it's this. If guinness were going to use Born Slippy then they'd be using it to the fullest.
It's like a beef burguignon deconstructed and you eat all the ingreadients raw on different days... horrible.

Totally agree unless it's part of the soundtrack of the new Trainspotting movie.

What I'd like to know is what Rick Parfitt is doing in the video.

I've been googling the lyrics I can make out for an hour now and nothing.

It might be the Rubber Bandits, who feature in Trainspotting 2, doing a rework of Born Slippy. Underworld have also reworked it for the movie.

That ad was released 3-4 years ago!

    Whoops :pac:

Then it's a Born Slippy copy or a real Born Slippy remix. Unusual that it's not credited or mentioned,

Sounds more like Cowgirl than Born Slippy.
