    Hi,

I have an iPhone 6 Plus which has been unlocked by Vodafone.

In the meantime I'm waiting for my new phone to arrive.

Once I backup and restore my current iPhone, how can I check it has been unlocked without putting someone else's SIM in it?

I want to make sure it's unlocked before I sell it.

    Thanks

The only way to check for definite is with a sim from a different network

did you plug it into itunes?
if not then its not unlocked yet afaik..once you plug it in itunes will pick up the update that the phone is to be unlocked and then update it..takes a few secs..

that above only applies if you just got it unlocked..

Yeah, I backed it up and restored it.

I then got a "congratulations your iPhone is unlocked" message in iTunes.

There might be a clue in there somewhere

Not the case anymore. I have had a couple of iPhones I got unlocked done OTA without ever been connected to iTunes.
