Sorry for the naivety of this question but is the only difference between a story & 1/2 new build and a story & 3/4 the ceiling height upstairs?

Had never heard of a story & 3/4 until today.

    OP
Well, I have often been told, having vividly recounted some swashbuckling adventure that I have safely returned from:
"Well that is a story and an a half"

I must up my game to get the "story and three quarters" award.

As to a storey and three quarters, well Tá sé sin scéile eile.
    Keep well and warm.

ps I agree with your observation

“I can’t pay my staff or mortgage with instagram likes”.

On a serious note, if you have a serious question, I missed it in the OP, if you can reword it I'm sure you will get more answers.

But maybe I can jump to an assumption, are you asking about the differences between a one, two, three and four storey house? If so, then no, ceiling heights have nothing really to,do,with the difference.

Means of escape in case of Fire is the main difference, so escape windows, protected escape route vertically down through the building and horizontally from each habitable room into this vertical shaft.

Maybe if you have nothing constructive to post you shouldn't bother, comedy isn't your strong point

Maybe you should word your questions correctly?
I'm genuinely trying to answer your questions.

It's not complicated and I've got legitimate responses from some knowledgeable contributors so thanks for your concern
