Anyone have experience of this course. What types of jobs come out of the course? What is Northeastern Uni like? Easy to get employment after? etc..

I'm considering this course as well but I doubt of any US job offers after completion, I'm thinking of it with slight higher job prospects than Business studies.

I'd like to know how easy it is to get a job in Ireland after doing this course.

That's what I mean :) the experience of having gone to college for 2 years in the US will make you stand out to the other 200 general business studies students

Hey, currently studying this course. The course, although requiring a very high leaving cert, is certainly not overly challenging where the DCU side of things are concerned. That said, Boston poses a different challenge altogether with top class lecturers from some of the most prestigious Ivy Leagues in America in charge of departments. In terms of employment, any employer I've interviewed with in Ireland has always held the course in the highest regard and it certainly set me apart from other perspective applicants. As far as job offers in the US are concerned, you complete a co-op over in Boston that is an excellent stepping stone to securing full-time employment over there, although many recent graduates are in London/Dublin in banks, insurance firms etc. If you have an interest/affinity for business and indeed any of its elements (marketing, finance, HR) I would have no hesitation in recommending this course. It sets you apart from the competition and who doesn't love two years abroad in Boston! If you've any other questions feel free to ask!

Thanks for your reply, really useful information. What types of organisations do 2nd year students work in during their placement?
