    What's it for?

I need a new PC so I can work from home. My work will only be 2D AutoCAD and i'm aware that's way more than enough.

I just thought it's be nice to be able to play some games as well. I'm not a big gamer but i've checked the minimum requirements on some of the games I want to play (Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront etc...) and as long as I can play those i'll be happy.

I also want this PC to last a good while, hence why i've gone for the 6GB instead of the 3GB graphics card.

You would save quite a lot of money by going i7-6700K and basic H110M/H170M vs the X99 platform. I think X99 and a 6800K is very overkill for 2D Autocad - it's an enthusiast platform designed for extremely heavy workloads and is priced accordingly. The money would be far better spent on a larger SSD, better case, better power supply, etc. Even a bigger/larger resolution monitor which would be beneficial for Autocad.

I'm going through PC specialist and some of the things you are suggesting are not on there....

I have downgraded the spec slightly and the option they give you is the i7-7700K and ASUS® PRIME Z270-P: ATX, LG1151

Downgrading to this has saved me about £200

I wouldn't recommend doing any CPU overclocking on a 450W Corsair VS in that system, you'd want at least a 500W+ Gold-rated power supply.

Try looking on laptopsdirect as well. They have good value desktops that would be far better suited to a casual user. What sort of budget is that PCS one coming to? Same/better spec on laptopsdirect with better case/psu is around €1200 and a much better spec that would kill it in games is around €1500 (minus monitor).

Or if you give up the i7 for an i5, there's a nice HP here with i5-6400/SSD+HDD/16GB/RX480 for €950.

I don't think you notice any difference between it than the i7 and the RX480 is slightly faster than the GTX1060 also.

Obviously depends on what sort of price is being quoted from PCS but I would imagine expensive enough with those parts.
