I was wondering if anyone knew if playing the lottery online would affect a mortgage application in the same way that online gambling would? Would it raise questions?

    Thanks,

If you're spending €10 a week on the lotto this will not be a problem however if you're spending €100 a week this might raise questions.

It should def go down as gambling I think because of the other games on the website too. It's pretty much an online casino with the scratchcards etc. . .

Deposit patterns would prob play a part - Once Wednesday/Once Sat wouldn't look bad but if you had irregular deposits, questions would have to be raised.

    Better safe than sorry.
Avoid all such records appearing on your bank / credit card records. Use cash instead.
Each bank and application will be different.
Don't let it mess up your application.
