    There's a group on facebook called "Need to Know Lanzarote" where there's a lot of folk living there offering advice to tourists, others who want to live there and each other! It's a nice community. You have to request to join, but they add you pretty quickly.

    Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction in ensuring a villa that I'm looking at costa tequise is 100% legit and that it's not a "holiday home scam" the owner seems to be accepting only a sterling cheque to an address in Costa tequise (not the one of the villa) or a bank transfer to a bank account in England. Is there a place/website/locals forum that's not facebook that I can seek more information to satisfy myself before I make a transfer??
