Hi all, can any of you suggest nice holiday homes to look at, will be two of us with new baby and 5 yr old. Near the beach would be great. Not pushed where, like the thoughts of Kerry as haven't been here in years but don't mind. We will be heading end of july / any wk in august but prices are unreal like 1000e+ for the wk. Ridiculous
Are the likes of super valu not doing the self catering breaks anymore do you know?

We stayed here for a short break a few years ago and it was gorgeous (and a gift, so we didn't pay!)

    Banna beach is nice http://www.bannabeachhotel.net/rates/

Unfortunately you are looking st peak season in Europe so prices will be high everywhere.

Achill island could be a good alternative.

We normally go self catering in Ireland for a week in July but this years prices are so restrictive...the place we stayed last year are now €300 dearer for same week in July....super value were always handy but very little holiday homes on it this year...during bust years we had our pick of houses for around 400 for the week now same houses are close to a grand...
We booked a lovely house in Kerry on air b&b for 500 quid for a week in July ...

Great thanks, is banna beach well kept houses as in its not like butlins use to be, that's what I'd be afraid of with those type of places esp with new baby.
O air bnb never thought of it. What Part of Kerry you go for? Must check it out.
Yeah that's really what damages Ireland the prices, like they are ridiculous. Because it is a gorgeous country but just can be a rip off

We are staying in kenmare ...we like to drive around and sightsee so kenmare is handy for seeing cork and Kerry...we stayed in banna beach before the holiday homes I found basic but we got a good deal the year we went...for a week in July this year banna beach wanted nearly €1000...lots for older children to do at banna beach but it's does get extremely busy in peak season...we find Youghal a good place as well...plenty of houses on Airbnb for both cork and Kerry..
