Cracked Bathroom Sink

    Hi,

I managed to drop my soap dispenser into the bathroom sink. There is now a fairly sizable hole in the bathroom sink and it is going to have to be replaced but in the interim does anyone know if it is okay to use the sink with a hole in it or could it cause some-kind of damage? Like obviously some water would probably go down the new hole but would that do any other damage other than the nuisance?

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I;m really clueless about these things and obviously want to avoid any damage to the plumbing etc.

It depends heavily on the type of basin. I'd say the main risk would be the water coming straight out the bottom of the sink onto the floor tbh.
