Jacuzzi/Jet bath not working?

Ok, I have bought a house and there is Jacuzzi in bathroom. It doesn't work. The electrician found the power switch in room next door but we turn that on and no power seems to go to unit.

I am going to cut a hole in wall and try to get access to the power switch to see if power going to it. There was no opening left in bathroom.

I am just wondering if I get access how would I find out model/type to see if I can get repaired and also how would I replace if needed?

I dont think I would ever use the Jacuzzi part but even standard bath would be grand, pic below and measurements. The 85cm is at widest part of arc

    180 x 85cm
    63cm at start of arc

    Thanks

Was the bath full when you tried to turn it on?

I'm no plumber but I know my mother's one seems to require the bath to be full before the pump engages...

yeah I tried that, filled it first in case there was a sensor. Will filled it above all of the jets and nothing.

I opened up the wall and got access to the pump. There is a junction box and power is going to it.

I think there could be a problem with on/off switch. I would guess there should be some sort of light to show power going to it but nothing.....

Anyone have something similar? Pic attach

I dont think that is a proper jacuzzi, more like jets bath ! :)

Check these pictures HERE any of them looks like yours !?
If yes, call them and ask for help.
If not, call them and ask for one of their techies to call out to your home and check it for you.

    Enjoy it.

You are right, I had a look at it last night, I put my hand in at back with phone and could take pic of pump details.

It is a HydroAir Genesis GC075. Now I can't find the GC075 but found a GC150 which is a pump for a hot tub :P

Think this might have been a bit of a solo job by previous owner.

I have asked spares company in UK if they know anything about the switch and if it might be the problem.....

No idea who might be able to fix it for me....I priced up replacement Whirlpool bath yesterday and circa 1400:eek:

Feeling of satisfaction is high today

With nobody to help me spend a long time on internet looking at stuff and from what I could see power switch was issue. Bit of working around this morning and hey presto got it running so now I know it works and I know what to replace

There is some pressure out of the jets

The electrician couldn't detect a faulty switch?

He didnt really want to know, all he showed me was power was coming into junction box and that was it, after that he said I would need to get someone out to look at it.....
