Wi-Fi card

Just moved into new place, have always had the phone/cable points in wired reach of PC, so never bothered putting though to a Wi-Fi card until now.

Anyone got any advice on them? Know nothing about them myself.

Hate it cause it's a fibre connection and I'd rather be wired but no go.

Modem spot is 20 feet from PC but through 2 brick walls.

Expensive but the two ports are very handy one for PC direct, and I have an old switch for the other devices next to PC

run an ethernet cable. Its a bit of hassle, but well worth it.
I tried both powerline adapters and wifi and in both cases my speed was cut from 70-80mbps right down to 10-20 mbps.


got a 20 metre for around 15 quid on amazon.

I'm not running trunking through two rooms (and the hall) and can't afford to be running it though the attic at the moment
