    Howdy,

I’m looking for a Garmin cadence sensor as I recently picked up a 520. Haven’t used it yet. I may take a speed sensor also but preference is for the cadence first

Does the 520 give you any speed during an activity or do you have to wait until it’s saved and uses the GPS readings to roughly calculate it?

    Nice Wan…

I got a new speed and cadence sensor set from wiggle delivered for €48 last week using promo code "NewWiggle" which gives £10 off a £50 spend.. Just added patches to bring above the £50 mark.

You get real time speed on the device 'there and then'. To get e reading of your speed doesnt need the speed sensor to be in place - while it is possibly more accurate that way, speed will be calculated from the GPS signal on its own.

    So not worth getting then?
