    Hi guys,
Hoping to start stripping the site by the end of the month. Had a guy up looking at making a start. He has priced €3,000 labour to strip site dig out and pile up excess filling, lay filling for driveway, open gap onto road, dig foundations, lay steel mesh, pour foundations, put in waste pipes ducts and radon sumps, whack in filling, lay radon barrier when blocks are laid . I would have to get blocks done myself. Is this expensive?

Without know the size of the site or house, very hard to say.

    Whatever size....sounds pretty reasonable!

What is the spec on the filling that he will whack? Just from local quarry/sandpit or whatever?

That will be specified by the engineer. It's 804 gravel as far as I know.

Anyway glad to see an engineer on board.

The 3k seems reasonable: 10 days work for man and machine?

Probably, he didn't break down the price so much but there's a fair bit of work involved plus he's fairly tidy both with track machine and doing the hand work.

Yep, It looks okay, just make sure the engineer is in the loop as he will need to see certain stages, such as the open foundations before anything gets put so make sure the lad knows that, in case he would be working on a dry Sunday!!
Best of luck with project, am off from here.

Looks reasonable. Take plenty of pics as the work progresses. Any worry and send pic to engineer.
    Honda won't see you wrong.

Very reasonable. Are you putting in finished floor or pouring that later?

Will be going with underfloor heating so will pour the finished floor towards the end of the build.

Majority do UFH before walls go up. It is easier to do doorways and link rooms etc.
