    Dear Boardsies

I sent a CV to a company 2 years ago and they said they’d keep me in mind if anything comes up. Last week they emailed me to say there was as a role coming up and would I be interested. I said yes.

They called on me Monday to discuss. I like the sound of it etc.

So, the role is not being advertised. Instead I’m being “invited” to apply for it.

Is this usual? Does it mean they are really interested in me?

Its just my first time experiencing this way of doing things and I find it a bit odd.

    Any feedback appreciated!

I had the same experience with a role in the HSE - I was on a temporary contract for four years which then became permanent (HSE rules) but I never did an interview or officially applied for the role.
