Another mini crisis. Have been using a pair of RST Paragon II for a little whilst, they haven't had much use really.... my left foot got wet yesterday and only from spray coming off the road i.e. I wasn't riding in a deluge.

New boots needed you say.. well yes probably but what to get? The RST were €150. I was looking at a review for a €200 boot Gaerne G-Adventure, when the guy tested them standing in the bath his feet got wet.

How do you folks keep your feet dry? I am willing to trade some protection for dry feet but not a wellington. Interested to hear any solutions this side of €400 Daytona boot. Thanks.

Have a pair of TCX goretex boots - 'Competizione S' I believe they're called. Most waterproof of all my gear, and have never let a drop in

5/6 years of daily commuting use, and prob only need to replace them as the soles are starting to go. Hopefully will be able to track down another pair, else I'll likely go for something TCX + goretex again

My TCX boots are also completely waterproof from what I can tell.

I bought Sidi Adventure last year

    http://www.fc-moto.de/Sidi-Adventure-Gore-Tex-Boot?gclid=Cj0KEQiAzNfDBRD2xKrO4pSnnOkBEiQAbzzeQUH8Jk7tlNhFP6dsEdD_urR0-orAEXK6tHBLWPR-y7waAuqC8P8HAQ

They are particular awesome i must say, Build Quality. Warmth , Waterproof (goretex) they appear to be on offer now as their is Adventure II coming so i am led to believe.

I would buy them again tomorrow. Love mine.

Do people buy boots online without trying them on somewhere before?

I got a pair of boots online, I wouldn't buy a lid online unless I'd tried it on though.

Fine boot..... but because I'm not a commuter I can't justify a €300 boot.... yet.. I may be able to adjust my thinking if I get a frozen wet gangrene foot :D:D

Im not a commuter either at all, Sure i walk to work. but christ i love a warm foot. My last RST's were good but short lived they let the wet in fairly soon and the toe etc came apart. Had to go Gortex

Ordered these on Monday, arrived today:

    http://www.motorcycleshop.ie/sidi-stivali-b2-gore-tex-1381-p.asp

Motorcycleshop were doing a 15% Jan discount so they came in just over €230.
They'll be going into service next week - my 'commute' is 160km each way (not every day thankfully) so they better be up to the job. Will report back.

One thing I don't understand is why every boot that is goretex only seems to come in all black.

It's relatively easy to resole boots.

Ordered these, the sale price seems good compared to other websites, €130 with an express delivery option. I will give them a good rub of dubbin from new and hope for the best! Thanks all for the input.

I bought a pair of Daytona around 2000, they're still waterproof. Best things ever. However I went looking for replacements and the price is scary. I got those puma for around 130, amazing price for them.

Other 'waterproof' boots have let me down but Dainese never have leaked, they also have great crash protection which I found out the hard way..

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

I used these for years, before I went out and got a pair of Gore-tex boots

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Military-Go...tex+boot+liner

They used to sell them in Army Bargins in Mary street but dont now. They are great because they are so thin so fit any boot with socks on.

I got these in a UK 8, 42. They are a narrow fit and just a pit of a pinch on me. They were €130 to my door in Limerick, if anyone wants them for €100 PM me. I will be sending them back in about 8 days. Replies maybe slow.
