Looks like Ireland will be getting 40 16-17year old boys to relocate. I can understand taking in orphans under 12 but these lads are practically men & would be treated as so in their own country. It will also cost €10million for one year. It looks like the tax payers of Ireland getting screwed again so TD's can look good in the eyes of the paymasters

You know, if you did a search on this, you'd find that there was already a thread. That had been closed. Because there a more appropriate thread for discussion of the topic?

Can't wait. Gonna be great having so much more cultural diversity and a great opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Well done to all those involved. My heart bleeds for the turmoil in their own country. This is your home now for as long as you need us my dear friend.welcome to Ireland. Cead mile failte. A hundred thousand welcome to each and everyone of you. I am so proud to be Irish. I hope you become more Irish than the Irish themselves. When it's time and ready for you to go you can always call Ireland home.

Sick to think the lack of funding for special needs education, lets spend €250,000 each on 40 individuals for one year, what happens when the year is up by the way, that seems to be up in the air.

This will not end well. I dont think i spoke to one person who viewed these relocations in a positive light or at least had a few reservations.

    1) what's the age of adulthood in their country?
    2) What's their country?

You seem to know both but it's not mentioned in the article.

Also I assume you think living in a camp would be better for them?

Don't worry this will be swept off to the politics cafe as they have decided it all goes into a single thread now on EU Immigration, despite deserving its own thread given its specific to Ireland.

But I suppose the harder it's to find the less people will know and get a chance to voice their opposition though.

Is this your way of saying you have no constructive, meaningful criticisms to make?
