internet speed

    Hi guys. Im considering buying an android box of some kind just wondering realistically what meg speed would i need for live streaming football etc? Out our current speed is between 10 and 12 meg..

    You can't talk about what content you are streaming in this forum, it's not allowed.

    However, in general, you will need a download speed of 2.5 for SD streams and 5-6 for HD streams.

    Also, please be aware that there are other factors that will impact on your quality: ping, upload speed, wired or wifi connection, distance of box from router, your ISP, your ISP's usuage policy, who your ISP is (i.e. fixed? wireless? mobile dongle?). There is also the source of the stream itself.

    Having said that, if you set things up correctly, you should be more than fine with those speeds. :)
