Did the Croke Park Agreement lead to the bailout?

The ratification of the Croke Park Agreement in 2010 promised protection against further pay-cuts for public-sector workers and also promised job security.

Later that year, the Troika arrived and the bailout took place.

If it hadn't been for the Croke Park Agreement, it would have been possible to make surplus administrators in the HSE and elsewhere in the public sector redundant. Would the 2010 bailout still have taken place anyway?

The banking crisis had to do with poor regulation of banks and a far to easy line of credit with no due diligence. Our building economy was made of straw.

Not sure, Financial Regulator aside, you can blame Civil Servants
