    All.

Who do you get policy from in above situation and is it commercial or private policy you get. . any special requirements on policy to do towing etc.
Been with fbd last few yrs but they are 400 more than alternative. Basically take jeep 2or3 days a wk to work when herding on out farm on way home. Other than that wife had it for short runs around home.

    Question is around 2 scenarios.

1 that I'm coveted to tow the allowable weight and 2. Should I have an accident while not on farm use, am I covered.
I know from tax perspective I shouldn't be driving for personal use bit I assume I'm still covered for insurance.

If not, what policy should I be looking at. Some insurance brokers I called today didn't know themselves!

You are always on farm business. Herding, vet, accountants, banking, looking at stock to buy, the list is endless.

It's like the saying my father in law used to have about youngfellas "beat them every time you see them because they're either coming from doing harm or going to do harm".

I think the term is "social and domestic purposes".
FBD automatically include in their farmers jeep policy but better check the conditions of the policy to make sure you are covered.

If its the same as my jeep insurance with FBD you're covered for everything apart from racing if your license covers it, something like social, personal, business and domestic is written on my policy so that'd cover most things, read your policy

With Zurich for a commercial policy on a van but social and domestic on it as well. Usually main issue is with Tax if you are stopped by law or custom's. However as long as you are on farm business directly or indirectly you are ok
