Can someone please give me a way to connect 2 routers for better wireless connectivity in my house.
Some say bridge mode others say create a separate access point.
i tried creating a separate access point it was going well but the main router was playing up giving crap speeds so i just turned of the 2 router which helped.
I am with Eir and i phoned them they said it cant be done which i know is a lie he just couldn't be bothered telling me.
Be great if someone could point me in the right direction thanks

I mean an access point. A router joins networks, an access point extends it. What hardware have you got? Has it an access point mode?

That's a modem router. You'll need to stop it routing. Disable DHCP and tape over the ADSL WAN port, just use the LAN ports. Make sure you set the wireless channels on your two devices manually to be well apart, use channels 1 and 11 so they don't clash

so on my second router i disable the DHCP set the channel to 11 AND 1 on the first.
will i set the ssid name to the same and the security details the same too.

Give it a (static) fixed ip address usually 1 up from the main one.

    E.g 192.168.0.2
