Break-ins in Dublin 7

Thought it might be useful to have a thread on any break ins in the area so people can be aware.

Three cars on my street and possible another street over were broken into last night. We're just off Manor St @ Cowtown.

Not directly related but I walked passed Cowtown a Sunday morning about 2 weeks & each car on the street(reckon at least 10 cars) had its wing mirror on the foothpath side broken off. Felt for the owners of all the cars

This happened last night in Palatine Square. Kicked off around 5am and lucky somebody wasn't hurt.

Worth knowing to keep an eye out for any dodgy behaviour until they can get the thugs who did it.

Unfortunately this does happen with the darker evenings. Last year there was a spare of back doors going in.

This thread is a good reminder to give your windows and back doors a good check as well as making sure the laneway out the back is someone sound - if you have one.

The hardware place on Manor St sells intruder pain which is no harm.

I think they mean intruder paint. It's hard to climb on/get a grip.

It's an oil based paint that's hard to get a grip on and is difficult to remove from clothes and skin.
