need suggestions from interior designers here..

want to paint kids room like this
    http://ind5.ccio.co/RD/y4/M7/7839084973370631952FRf9mAc.jpg

planning to put painters tape and paint the wall.
    remove the tape after painting.

has anyone done such things before?
does the painters tape remove any of the wall paint along with it?
    is it safe to use?

should work no problem. (famous last words)
get proper tape thow not that normal crap you buy . try it on a small bit first or on a board. it might pull the paint off.

the most importand things are that if doesnt pull the paint off and that it doesnt bleed

I've heard that you should paint the base coat, let it dry, mask the wall, paint the base coat again, let it dry, then paint the between masking tape colour.

Not tried it myself but apparently that minimises bleeding as it's the second layer of base coat that will bleed.

I've used low tack Frogtape, comes in a yellow box, to mask off the edges of the ceiling when painting walls and it never pulls paint off. Be sure to press the edges down well or you'll get leaking underneath.

The frog tape is excellent for leaving a sharp line.

Any wet paint needs a few days drying before applying low tack tape
