Nest downstairs with existing thermostat upstairs?

    Hi all,

Question for any Nest users out there, as I'm trying to satisfy my own curiosity before I think about ordering.

I'm not interested in purchasing two Nests, as upstairs heating is rarely used so can't justify the expense. If I get one downstairs, does the heat link turn the boiler power on and off as and when the Nest reaches set temperature, or does it just stop the call for heat with boiler staying in standby and still available for call for heat from another thermostat?

Is anybody here using a Nest in conjunction with another thermostat? If so, how are you getting on? Thanks!
