    Is my paypal being hacked?

Just received a text message from paypal with a security code I never requested that expires in 5 mins.

Then I missed a call from a number starting in 402

Anyone any idea what is going on? I rarely use an old paypal account I have.

Just to be sure sign in and change your details / password / etc.

Did you try contacting their support or googling the phone number?

If the text is legitimately from Paypal (did you set up mobile codes, its called "2 factor") then its serving its purpose.

Sounds like you may have re-used passwords?

But not through any of the links provided by whatever message you have received.

Log into PayPal and change details, someone is trying to hack yours!

Signed in online on my pc. They sent me a security code in order to go any further. When I got in I changed my password.

Seems like someone tried to log in to my account.

This stuff is becoming more and more common the last year I suppose, so many phishing scams now, you just need to be wary all the time and be careful.

I get the odd notification warning me about irregular activity on my PayPal a/c as well, looks legit.
Even though I don't have a PayPal account. :pac:
