Time of day could be crucial. But something like N7, Long Mile Road, right onto Kildare Road, right onto Sundrive Road and left onto the KImmage Road at Supervalu may be best.

Thanks very much for that I will reach the longmile around 7am and was just wondering if it is very heavy that early I was going to try the canal either but that would probably be very busy.

That hour of day you won't have a lot of traffic as a rule. The canal won't be any use to you; it will put 2 extra miles onto your trip plus it can be fun getting turned right at Harold's Cross bridge.

I used to travel that way. Idcut across long mile down to the walkinstown roundabout down kimmage road, left and the JCR, starught over sundrive, and all the way down and I'd pop out pretty much at the hospice.
