    Hi Everyone,

My friend want to visit Ireland during summer from India. Few years back (4years) when he was in Canada on student visa , he was convicted on domestic assault and and was given 2 month imprisonment. After that he came back to India.

Now his record is clean in back home. How much this will effect his visa grant in Ireland, will he be refused. Although it happened few years back.

    Or
There is Any way we should proceed for application , Like hiring solicitor here?

    Thanks
    Regards

You really need to contact your local Irish embassy and ask them for the criteria on visa refusals. Hiring a solicitor from afar will cost you a fair bit and there's little point in spending it if it isn't required or if it won't make a difference; if anything it could flag attention to you this early in the application process.
