    I thought strava was free ,but when I went to download it on my iPhone it says I need to buy it?👀

    Wrong forum, but no, you don't have to pay for it.

    It is just called "Strava" and maybe the app you are looking at is a spin off app?

    [edit] There is an option once you have it to become a "premium" member, but that's optional and tbh the non-premium(free) version is more than enough.
