Has anyone done this? I was looking at their(mobile)site this morning and could not see a section for it.

Do you just book the hotel in the room finder section and then book the flight, transfers, insurance etc separate on their site?

Has anyone looked into Ryanair and decided not as there was cheaper/better options for the same destination?

They don't do package holidays. Just buy everything separate and don't use ryanair

I have never had a problem with Ryanair and have used them quite a lot.

To book other things apart from the flight I meant

Yeah, I generally book flights and accommodation separately. I have never used Ryanair for anything other than flights. Would give them a go if I knew the accommodation previously. I can put up with a couple of hours on a no frills flight but would not like to take a punt on the accommodation they might provide.

    Buy flights with an airline.
Book accommodation with a hotel/rental website.
Book car hire from a car rental place.
    Etc etc
    Its pretty simple.

That new package holiday Ryanair offering will be no different to their car insurance offering.
Just a link to other sites through Ryanair with an extra cut for Ryanair on top.
Guaranteed they will be no savings.
Rather have a much better implemented system of you want to see one that works well. But that is more expensive than the septate route too.

I can't even get the ryanair website to display what flights are available on Firefox, Chrome or IE on Windows7.
    Don't mind book package holidays.

I can input my search and it proceeds to the select dates page, but any dates selected result in a blank. No flight to select...

    Anyone else having problems?

The morning on the radio they said Ryanair wants to be the "Amazon" of travel. That's a bit much in my opinion, especially because Amazon puts customer service second to having the lowest price from my experience. Before I would book a package holiday with Ryanair I would test them out by giving them a call. Find out how easy and convenient it is to contact their customer service. If you have a problem with your hotel or transfers or activities, how quickly can you get in touch with them to get it sorted? Even with a simple issue like if you want to keep your flights but change your hotel.

Personally I recommend that you try to book hotels directly when possible because you may be more likely to get a better room or additional benefits since they aren't paying the high commissions to online travel agencies such as Booking.com and Expedia.

Anyone booked a package holiday with them since the last post? Looking mid July, 9 nights @ Algarve, Mallorca, and even if I add the forced seat fare and the 15/20kg checked in bag I feel quite competitive compared to ryanair flights to Faro and couple of comparison on ebookers/booking.com. Saving for 9 night, 2 adult, one 2.5yr old seems like a few 100€...Have an itchy finger to book via them....

    Opinion/experience anyone?

The whole point of booking a package holiday (instead of booking each component yourself) is so that transfers are looked after, there will be a rep. on the ground to sort out any issues and you won't be abandoned to your fate if there's a problem with the homeward flight.

Ryanair is not a holiday operator so even if there is a real 'package' behind what they're offering, it means that they are adding a layer of cost (their cut) to the cost of your holiday. I can't see any reason to book a holiday through them, especially given their history of abandoning people in sh1tty remote airports as soon as something goes wrong.

Most Aer Lingus European flights are A to B and return, Ryanair planes fly all over the place which means that if you're stuck in Lanzarote and their plane doesn't arrive, they can claim that it was because of fog in just about any airport in Europe.

They are obliged to substantiate this claim.

Chase the EU compensation and you may get it.

Ryanair do not provide package holidays.

    All they do is flights.

Based on the flights they then offer you hotels car hire etc in that location. This is not with Ryanair. They just provide a link to another operator providing that service. If you have any issues with that service it is nothing to do with Ryanair.

Once you are comfortable with that and the actual device provider you should be ok.

Ryanair will just take commissions on any service that is booked after being routed from their website.
