Career Paths for a Veterinary Nurse

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post in so can a mod move it it they think it is more suited to a different forum.

My wife worked for a few years in financial services, just a low level admin job but she really enjoyed that type of working environment. She then returned to college to do vet nursing and has been working in it for a few years. The problem is there is not much scope for career progression as a vet nurse and she is not really finding it challenging.

She now wants to go back and do another college course (part-time) this September. I am trying to see could her vet nurse degree and experience be used to open paths to any other careers.

Can anyone suggest any areas of study that would build on her Vet Nursing experience and lead to other areas of the industry?

I know a vet nurse who went on to work in sales for a pet food company (Hills) in the UK. There would be lots of travelling with a similar job in Ireland but the pay would be higher. No extra qualification needed but the right personality for the job is needed.

Thanks for the reply, we have two young kids so a job with a lot of travelling may be out of the question.

No unfortunately not, it will need to be a part time course as we couldn't afford for her to study during the day
