Helloooo Alexa...can you order me a nice "dollhouse" for my boy friend!?
Waiting for next Amazon scheduled drone delivery...

What' next !?? Hmm...let me check the QVC Shopping Channel ! :)

During that story's segment, a CW-6 news presenter remarked: "I love the little girl, saying 'Alexa ordered me a dollhouse'."

That, apparently, was enough to set off Alexa-powered Echo boxes around San Diego on their own shopping sprees. The California station admitted plenty of viewers complained that the TV broadcast caused their voice-controlled personal assistants to try to place orders for dollhouses on Amazon.

We'll take this opportunity to point out that voice-command purchasing is enabled by default on Alexa devices.

ADT security alarms are adding support to Alexa. One interesting thing about it is that in order to do the more security sensitive commands (e.g. disarm the alarm system), you also have to give it a 4 digit pin by voice [1]

It looks like Amazon will have to do something like this for this feature. At least until they crack accurate voice integration [2]

[1] Yes I know that still questionable security but better then nothing and I would hope optional

[2] Which would also be handy for changing accounts (i.e. when you ask it to add something to your schedule, it knows to add it to yours rather then you other halfs, etc.)

I set a 4 digit pin the day I got it for purchases.

They should also allow for more variety in activation commands. As more and more people start to bring the tech into their homes and phones, they will want to have it so that only their command can activate their device* and not someone on the TV or just someone else using their own phone.

*I know that the phones try to match against your voice pattern and command but I have found that I can still sometimes accidentally activate my GFs phone.
