55kW Outdoor Grant Vortex Oil Boiler

    Out current oil boiler is no good anymore so we need a new one. We got a quote from a plumbing company and total quote was €3, 650 to fit it and all. This sounds extremely high to me although we do have a massive house.

    The specific model in the estimate letter emailed to us is:
    55kW Outdoor Grant Vortex Oil Boiler


    To Supply & Fit New 55kW Outdoor Grant Vortex Oil Boiler and connect
    Into existing system C/W DeSludge of system all as discussed.

    Might it be cheaper to buy from a retailer and then get a plumper to fit it in? I can't find any sites in Ireland. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Best to get more than one quote anyway, and ask for a detailed breakdown. Boiler will also need to be commissioned, so ask if that's included in the price.

    Out of interest, what's the matter with the existing boiler?

    Looking to install central heating controls.
