Converting a horse box for catering

    I'm looking into the idea of converting a Rice type horse box into a catering trailer, I posted on electrical but the guys over there suggested gas instead. Would it be a big/expensive job to have a gas system installed by a plumber for a hot plate, salamander and fridges. Thanks in advance for any info.

    Nice box for horse ��, can't imagine what the burgers will consist of ????

    But seriously, the criteria for health &safety, food hygiene is very strict on inspections.
    It would be easier to purchase a catering van, or get one manafactured than convert a RICE

    4 walls on a chassis is the easiest part.
    Cut your box if necessary, but don't portray a horse box & food together.
    Quirky idea yes, but common sense says no.

    Don't knock it until you have seen one, the are very catching when done right and I have seen many examples in Ireland and the UK of food business's thriving because of there novelty. Thanks for your reply but I was looking for advice on getting gas installed, not food safety, I am a chef I don't need advice on that thank you!

    No insult intended as I'm sure you got that.

    Best of luck with your idea, but is a RICE big enough for square footage ?
    When you take in storage, cooking, preparation and serving counter ?

    Not my field of expertise ( I know horse boxes ) ( good horsey box) but not your requirements and knowledge.
    But can see where your coming from. 👍

    Horse meat burgers will hardly catch on here.
    You should do this in France
    Could work there

    Nice catering box, I'm impressed.

    Hitch and dropped ramp could be a potential liability. So bear that in mind.
