Edit - that should say "Mirror to metal cabinet door" but i cannot change it.

We have a cabinet very similar to this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015Q4X64Q/
Push the door in to open it. There are two "hinges" glued to the back of each door and one of them has come unstuck. Luckily ours has a shelf and the door was resting on it.
I would like to glue that hinge back on (It is a palm sized square of metal).
Do i need to clean it first with any special cleaning product or method?
    and
What is the best Adhesive for reattaching the hinge to the door?

The best i think would be epoxy resin but it can be pricey

It depends on what weight has to be carried by a small area. ???
Ordinary silicon is not suitable for mirrors, theres a special silicon, so read the lable first.

Ask a glazing / mirror supplier.

My 7' X 3.5' bathroom mirror is held on with silicon.
But weight is sitting on the tiles underneath. So the silicon is just holding it in place.

The weight of this would be on the hinges. I'm guessing it is about 1-2kg.
I have not got a clue to be honest, I will have to weight it. But it is supported only by the hinges.

A 2 part epoxy resin would probably be your best bet. If you want to clean off the old adhesive first, use a nail varnish remover with a high acetone content. Keep the room ventilated whist you are doing both as both the glue and acetone stink!

I wonder if the stuff they use to glue car rear view mirrors to the windscreen would be the best thing to use? They are for metal to glass joints.

    Examples https://www.amazon.co.uk/Evo-Stik-320130-Rear-Mirror-Adhesive/dp/B004WODITU https://www.amazon.co.uk/Loctite-Interior-Mirror-Adhesive-194088-1/dp/B004ROTY6G

I've used them for their intended purpose with the mesh pads and if you clean the glass and metal up well they really do a good job.
