Saving photos.

    I have about 1000 photos on my old laptop which is starting to shown its age..approx 10yrs.
    The photos are uploaded to Picasa.
    How can I make sure I won't loose photos if my old laptop calls it a day.
    Thanks for any info.
    P.s .. Make it easy/clear for an old timer..

    Get an external hard drive and copy the photos to it and put it away in a safe place
