Multi-centre trip to Toronto & NYC - best airlines?

Hi. I'm planning a multi centre trip to Toronto and New York City in June 2017 and was wondering what people would consider is the best airline to go with? I'll either be doing Dublin-Toronto and returning from NYC to Dublin or Dublin-NYC and returning to Dublin from Toronto.

I've done previous trips to Orlando and NYC in an Aer Lingus A330 and I've heard some fairly dire stories about trips in the 757's that some airlines use. Has anyone travelled on these routes recently and got any advice?

I've flown to Toronto and NY with Air Canada and BA before (AC through YYZ, BA through LHR) - BA were significantly better - Air Canada Rouge is not great (the service that flies from DUB) - unless you get a savage deal and upgrade to either an extra legroom seat or Premium Economy.

We used Air Canada Rouge for our flight to Vancouver last year and were worried after reading a lot of negative stuff online - found it fine to be honest, liked that we had a 2 seater along the side to ourselves. Rented the ipad for in-flight entertainment as our android tablets didn't work, but found staff very pleasant and flight was very comfortable. I'd have no problems using them again.

Think it was American we had a horrible flight home from NYC with, it was a 757 (I think) well it was a 3x3 set up, very tight and uncomfortable.

I'd go with price and someone who you'd be fairly certain wouldn't be using planes with 3x3 set-up.

Does anyone use the bigger planes to Toronto out of Dublin?

Aer Lingus - B757 (narrowbody), until March and A332 (widebody) from March
Air Canada Rouge - B763 (widebody)
Air Transat - A310 and A333 (both widebody)
    WestJet - B737 (narrowbody)

Thanks for that! the 757's don't sound very good.

How are you getting from New York to Toronto? Flights are extortionate

Running at under a €100 at the minute. Not exactly Ryanair but I don't think I'll call them extortionate.
