The Business Needs to Get Clued in About IT

    I've just been pondering this in work to day, it's amazing how much mindless bull plop that the business falls for at the prey of IT sales, Developers and even Helpdesk workers. I currently work as an developer that is currently sorting out a simple but messy and really redundant seven figure project that succumbed to the prey of multiple myopic consultants in a previous form. This should have really only cost a couple of grand plus it infra costs, but nowhere near 7 figures.

    Reviewing some of the older documentation and quotes they took, the simplistic designs they overpayed for are ridiculous. But it's such a waste of money. It's mad how much companies are getting burned and the attitude by the business is "I don't want to know" "im not technical" while consultants and it pros fill them full of...

    Anybody else notice this?

    Hi there i used to work in IT help desk myself and the amount of money my dept was spending was crazy on stuff we did not need at all. Somedays i could not put my head around it at all.

    We where paying both for office 365 and MS office liechances if that gives you a idea of money that was wasted.

    New laptops where giving to the same people all the time but some people i was told never to give them a new laptop.
