Site layout and percolation test/ report

Hi

I have plans for my house ready from my architect.

I now want a surveyor or engineer to do a site layout and percolation tests for planning. The architect doesn't really do this stuff.

What sort of cost would you expect this to be? It is in south Kildare.

Not much use to you I'm sure but my percolation tests cost 300 euro back in 2012.
That was apparently a good bit cheaper than the going rate though.
The arch tech did the site layout for me as part of the planning application

600 - 650 ex vat which includes digging trial holes is the going rate for perc test, i got three quotes in last few weeks

What's the price when you include the labour and machinery to dig the holes and spend the time there?

I'm sure PUT's price was an all inclusive price.

thats interesting..

The one quote i got so far is 900 + VAT for site layout and percolation test, and I have to provide the digger and 200 gallons of water.

Nope, this is a response to the OP's question.

The SSA is only part of the works required, here.

The €350-500 + VAT you mention is fine when you are working from an existing site layout provided by somebody else and when someone else has surveyed the site and drafted that survey and provided the required layout plan with the information required for a planning application, position and orientation of dwelling, entrance, sewerage system, treatment, sight lines, landscaping, required seperation distances, contours and spot levels as necessary, etc., etc.

I assumed it was just a basic site layout relevant to the the Site assessment Report

But if its everything minus the house design and your getting a full site layout design including Landscaping /Site levels done €1500 would be good value IMHO

Though would it not be very unusual for an Arch to leave the site layout design to someone else?

OP is the above what you mean by a site layout?

My Arch tech made this drawing showing where my water well, my septic tank, my soakways, my entrance, where the land was high and low on the site etc.

Percolation test cost me €650 3 months ago and included in the digging of the holes and the water. In Limerick.
