I'm in the market for a new microwave and I came across this one that I thought was pretty interesting.

    Kenwood K23CM13 Combi Microwave

Seems like a decent price, but whats really interesting is it compared to the UK site - 80 pound (reduced from 190 pound). The price on the Irish site is E70 so a fairly big difference

Not sure if i trust the original price as it seems to be a Currys exclusive so its hard to know the genuine price.

Going to pick it up today I think so hopefully its good

I've had two of these combi ovens in a row, honestly just use it as a microwave, grilling and oven functionality are brutal

In general, or this particular model?

We've a 15 year old Panasonic combi with, grill and fan assisted convection.
On convection oven alone it will churn out excellent pizza.

    The specs on this Kenwood:

    800W Micro
    1200W grill and convection

aren't top notch, but you'd be hard pressed to find better for the money.

My main concern would the the 800W micro, there are 900/1000W units under €100 that may cook food more evenly.

Hence why I did not pick up my reservation, prefer Panasonic and 800w is diddly

My mams Kenwood combination microwave died in Stephens day so we picked this one up.

She doesn't use the grilling feature on these but used the oven piece for baking desserts and roasts etc and she loves it

Lots of reviews on the UK site rate it highly. Just ordered mine

Well I am pleased. Yes it has a couple of irritations, like the cook time selection, but it's a nice unit for a very low price. I paid €55 for a basic microwave a couple of years ago.
